Hi, I'm

Nathan Challender,

a Full Stack Web Developer.

About Me

I am a computer science student and aspiring developer based in New Hampshire, where you'll find me in the White Mountains if I'm not at my computer. I am currently in my third year of a BS in Computer Science at Southern New Hampshire University. I've loved computers since I was a little kid messing around on my mom's Gateway PC, which led to me working at a local repair shop in high school, completing BrainStation's Web Development Bootcamp in 2021, and now taking courses in programming, computer architecture, and networking.

I have spent the last decade working in finance at Suncoast Credit Union and now insurance at Progressive, in roles such as consumer lending, underwriting, and knowledge management. While not directly related to IT or development, these roles have all required problem solving, risk management, documentation, and critical thinking skills.

In 2025, I assisted in the migration of internal guidelines from a legacy knowledge management system to Salesforce, where I developed solutions to formatting issues and created a best practices guide to streamline how the team formats and maintains content. Earlier this year, I competed in Progressive's AI Adventure Camp CodeJam, where my team built a dynamic learning management system prototype that won the People's Choice Award. Both of these experiences were a reminder of how much I enjoy working through a hard problem with a good team under real constraints.

My goal is to keep building useful things, learn from people who are better at this than I am, and eventually land somewhere I can do both.
